️ Davis Graveyard 3-Day Haunter’s Workshop ️
Location: Davis Graveyard, Milwaukie, OR
Dates: July 25-27
Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily
Dress Code: Mess-friendly clothes, closed-toe shoes required
Important: No minors in the shop, no drinking while working, and respect the tools — they bite.
️ What We’re Building
You’ll spend three full days hands-on in the Davis Graveyard shop learning the secrets behind our most iconic props. Here’s the lineup: Foam Body Form Statue
- Start Friday morning — so we can mud by day’s end
- Pre-poured arms, head, and shoulder pieces
- Body from preshaped from solid foan
- Use PVC and expanding foam to assemble
- Finish with Monster Mud for clothes and hair
Tombstones (Our Signature)
- Carve your own tombstone to take home (or leave behind in our graveyard)
- Use X-Acto knives and Hot Wire Foam Factory tools
- Add accents, trim or decor to make it scary perfection.
- Distress, shape, and paint in our classic creepy color palette
Crypt Walls
- Full foam sheets transformed into above-ground crypt façades
- Carve, distress, and decorate with Hot Wire Foam Factory tools
- Add aging effects and paint to perfection in Davis Graveyard gray
️ Ruined Columns and Fence
- Build solid foam columns
- Texture foam to mimic ancient brick
- Add PVC “wrought iron” bars and creepy flourishes
- Learn aged metal paint techniques for an old, haunted look
⚰️ Above-Ground Tomb
- Use foam, fabric, and a skeleton to build a disturbingly lifelike tomb
- Learn fabric-mudded corpse techniques for dramatic flair
- Finish with eerie distressing and scenic detail
Small Monuments & Details
- Use foam and found objects to create personalized mini-monuments
- Learn Davis Graveyard finishing tricks: moss, body parts, weeds, and more
- Help stage the entire scene with extra spooky flair
Foam Coffin (New!)
- Learn to build a complete coffin entirely out of foam
- Lightweight and easy to move — but not great for storage (unless you’re storing regrets)
- Texture foam to look just like aged wood
- Assemble using spare foam blocks and some haunting ingenuity
- A fun, fast build that’s perfect for keeping the dead in their place
Daily Schedule
Day 1 (Friday):
- Welcome, orientation, safety first (seriously, no injuries in the graveyard)
- Begin Body Form Statue, Tombstone carving, Crypt wall planning
- First Monster Mud session
- Foam Coffin kickoff!
Day 2 (Saturday):
- Continue all builds: foam carving, painting, distressing
- Ruined fence construction + coffin assembly
- Evening: painting and detailing
- Hangout time on the Davis Graveyard patio
Day 3 (Sunday):
- Finish: paint, seal, stage, and distress all props
- Add scenic elements: moss, dirt, shrubs, creepy finishing touches
- Group photo and scene dedication
- Visit to Raven’s Manor (pending group interest)

This year’s final build will be donated to The Nightmare Factory in Salem in tribute to the late, great Ed Roberts, a true pioneer of haunting. Your work becomes part of his legacy.
